Before you use it
Take the cover off before charging if your charger’s manual asks for clearance around the unit for cooling, and never cover a charger that is hot, smoking or damaged.
What it does
IllustrationSlips over the whole charger
The cover drops over the top of the charger and hangs below its base, so the housing, the screen and a holster underneath are all under the fabric. Nothing clamps or screws to the charger, so it comes off in seconds.
Closes around the cable
An elastic cord with a toggle runs around the bottom edge. Pull it in around the charging cable and slide the toggle up, and wind cannot lift the cover off the charger.

Overview
A charger on an outside wall faces the weather every hour it is not charging: sun on the plastics and the screen, snow and ice on the top and the holster, and grime blown into every gap. This cover slips over the whole unit and gathers underneath around the cable, with nothing screwed or clamped to the charger.
Inside, it measures 12.6 inches wide, 15.7 inches tall and 7.9 inches deep. Measure your charger before ordering: if it is smaller than the cover in all three directions, including any holster or hook on the unit, it fits.

Will it fit my charger?
Measure the height, width and depth of your charger, including any holster or hook attached to it. If all three are smaller than the cover’s inside size of 15.7 in tall, 12.6 in wide and 7.9 in deep, it fits.
Does it fit a Tesla Wall Connector?
By the numbers, yes. Tesla lists its Wall Connector at 13.6 in tall and 6.1 in wide, and 4.3 in deep, or 5.9 in for the Universal Wall Connector, which is inside the cover in every direction.
Can I charge with the cover on?
Check your charger’s manual first. The cable leaves through the bottom, but some chargers need clear air around them while they work; if yours does, put the cover on between charges.
Will it blow off in wind?
Pull the elastic cord in around the cable and slide the toggle up. With the bottom closed, the cover cannot lift over the top of the charger.
Does it lock the charger?
No. It is a weather cover. To lock the plug to the wall, see the lockable J1772 holster.
