Before you use it
It breaks tempered glass only. Laminated side windows and windshields cannot be broken with it.
Keep it out of reach of children: it holds a blade.
What it does
A punch for a side window
Press the black tip firmly against a lower corner of a tempered side window to break it. It cannot break laminated glass, used for windshields and in the side windows of many newer cars.
A blade in a notch
The blade sits recessed in a hooked notch, out of reach of fingers. Hook the seatbelt into the notch and pull the tool across it: the belt’s own tension carries it through the blade.
A whistle for help
A whistle is molded into the body, for getting attention when a voice will not carry, from inside a car or after getting out of one.

Which windows can it break?
Tempered glass, used in many side and rear windows. It cannot break laminated glass, which is used for windshields and in the side windows of many newer cars. The marking in the corner of each window says which glass it is.
Where should it go on my keys?
On the ring that holds the car key or fob, so it is in the car whenever you drive and within reach from the driver’s seat, rather than on a house key ring left at home.
