What it does

Shielded on every side
The inside of the box and the lid are lined with signal-shielding fabric. With the lid closed, the lining surrounds the fob on every side, which is what keeps a relay device from reaching it.

A clasp that keeps it shut
A metal clasp on the front holds the lid down, so the box is not left ajar, which is the one way a Faraday box stops working. Open it with one thumb when you head out.
IllustrationMade to sit in plain sight
A carbon-fiber pattern cover with red stitching over a rigid frame looks at home on a hall table or a shelf, which is where a box gets used every day.
Overview
Keyless entry cars unlock and start when their fob is nearby, and relay thieves use that: one device picks up the fob’s signal through the front wall of a house and a second repeats it beside the car on the driveway. A fob stored in this box cannot be picked up, because the box and its lid are lined with signal-shielding fabric.
It is a small, rigid box with a carbon-fiber pattern cover and a metal clasp, sized for key fobs, which makes it an easy habit by the front door. Test it once with your own fob: put it inside, close the lid, walk to the car and try the door.
Compatibility
For the keyless entry and push-button start fobs of any car brand. Too small for a phone.
- It protects the fobs inside it. A spare fob left in a drawer can still be picked up, so keep both in the box.

Questions about this product
How do I know it works with my fob?
Test it: put the fob inside, close the lid fully and fasten the clasp, then walk to the car and try the door handle. If the car does not respond, the box is doing its job. If it unlocks, check the lid is closed all round and contact us if it still does.
Why would anyone relay my key fob?
A car with keyless entry opens and starts for its fob. Relay thieves carry two devices: one near your door picks up the fob’s signal, the other next to the car repeats it, and the car behaves as if you were standing beside it.
Can I put my phone in it?
No, it is sized for key fobs. The Faraday pouch holds a key fob and a phone together.
Will my fob work normally when I take it out?
Yes. The box does not change the fob in any way; it works as usual as soon as it is out of the box.
